Established in 2013, the Moapa Valley Revitalization Project (MVRP) was formed as a 501(c)(3) to fill the various needs of the Moapa Valley community. Starting out as a small handful of people spearheaded by Mary Kaye Washburn, it grew from roadside clean-ups and promotional rack cards to a large volunteer organization operating a foodbank, resource fairs, tourism development, and beautification main street projects.

As an offshoot of these efforts, the organization helped the towns of Overton and Logandale qualify as an official Nevada Main Street under the title of Moapa Valley Main Street. The Nevada Main Street is a Nevada Department of Economic Development (GOED) program. This allows the community to open the door to additional grant opportunities and support from the County and State.
